Tutoring Workshop 2014

Date: 3 March 2014

A tutoring workshop for EE tutors is planned for Monday 3 March at 1pm in Menzies LT12. We have scheduled the session for the meridian, 13h00-14h00, to avoid overlap with course lectures. Sandwiches and refreshments will be provided.

This workshop is intended for new tutors, although all tutors on the DHET programme are required to attend. If you are not sure whether or not you are a DHET tutor, then check with the lecturer concerned.

We want to keep the workshop focused, and the size small (around 20 participants), so that the
participants have a relaxed atmosphere in which they would be more willing to express themselves,
particularly to support those who would benefit from personalized assistance. Please forward this
message to your TA or tutors that you think would be willing to attend this workshop. (If you could
recommend an experienced tutors who would be willing to proffer first-hand advice, please send me
his/her name so that I can send an invitation).

We request RSVP by 27 Feb for catering purposes (by email, sent to Simon Winberg - see department website for contract information).

I've attached a draft of the workshop programme; if you have additional points you would like to suggest that the tutors are to be made aware of, please send your comments or jot your ideas down on paper and bring along notes as reminders.
