Details of the license and use policy:
All the resources on this EEE4084F website is available freely for copying and  reuse without the need to obtain written permission from the author / lecturer (Dr. S. Winberg) of this course. If you are intending to reuse the resources in a formal course or lectures, please do acknowledge the source: this can be done for example in a references slide at the end of presentation slides or as a footnote where relevant. In a slide show, you only need reference the source once (e.g. as a footnote on the first slide that is reuse) -- there is no need to waste slide space by having a reference on each slide reused, besides the first one, if you decide to reuse multiple slides in a single powerpoint / slideshow. Please see the link above to the relevant creative commons license for full details on issues of copying and reuse.

A suggestion for referencing the source can simply be as follows:
*source: Dr. S. Winberg, UCT, Digital Systems EEE4084F open courseware resources, Available: http://www.rrsg.ee.uct.ac.za/courses/EEE4084F/index.html
Or if the long URL is an inconvenient, you can simply have a clickable text with an URLattached, such as:
*source: Dr. S. Winberg, UCT, Digital Systems EEE4084F open courseware resources

Disclaimer:
The resources are use at own risk. While I do try to make the information accurate and correct, I make no formal gaurantees on this. Consequently, you can make use of these resources in the agreement that you will not hold accountable either the lecturer, University of Cape Town staff, or other parties involved with the course, for any inaccuracies, errors or other omissions and faults that may be in the content or arise from use of these resources.

I have tried to follow the correct practices concerning copyright and licensing of material, particularly image sources that have been used. I have put much effort into trying to make this material open access so that it can be of benefit to others in their teaching and learning practice. Any mistakes or omissions with regards to these issues I will correct when notified. To the best of my understanding the material in these slides can be shared according to the Creative Commons “Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0)” license, and that is why I selected that license to apply to the material on this site (it’s not because I particulate want my slides referenced to me, but more to acknowledge the sources and generosity of others who have provided free material such as the images I have used).
